Mission Statement
Nurturing Minds, Shaping Futures.
To provide a safe, nurturing and inclusive environment where young children can learn, grow and develop to their full potential.
We believe every child is unique and has the right to be valued and respected. Our goal is to support children’s physical, social, emotional and cognitive development through play-based learning experiences responsive to their individual needs and interests.
Working in partnership with parents, carers and our local community, we aim to foster a love of learning and a sense of belonging in every child, and to prepare them for success in both school and life.
Welcome To Pollyanna Pre-School
Pollyanna Pre-School is in the process of becoming a Charitable Incorporated Organisation (CIO). We want to reassure all families—current and new—that the quality of care and education we provide will remain exactly the same. Our routines, activities, values, and commitment to supporting children in their early years will not change. The only difference will be our name and legal structure; the same dedicated team will continue to look after your child with the same passion and care.
Please note: the Ofsted inspection statement below, from July 2024, applies specifically to Pollyanna Pre-School as it currently operates. Once we complete the transition with Ofsted, our new registration as Pollyanna Pre-School CIO will begin without an existing grading. However, our mission and dedication remain unchanged, and the July 2024 inspection continues to reflect the quality of our provision.
Ofsted Inspection 2024 (as Pollyanna Pre-School)
“Staff support for children’s communication skills is a strength. Staff introduce lots of new vocabulary and continually narrate activities for younger children. Signing is a key part of the nursery’s curriculum for communication and language. This helps children to develop their understanding and ability to express themselves. Children are animated, expressive and confident communicators. As children talk, staff sensitively repeat back what children say so that they hear the correct pronunciation. Staff read stories with enthusiasm and use good questioning skills.” – Ofsted – July 2024
